    What are the payouts for the categories?

    Fit Virginia is hard at work gaining further community support for the contest and will continue to do so until registration is finished. As additional sponsors offer deals, we will update you via e-mail. For up-to-the-second changes in the contest, please follow us on Facebook! Payouts and/or prizes can increase as new sponsors are added. There are three categories which each pay three winners - resulting in a total of 9 winners.
    The following is the payout structure:

    BMI of 26.9 or lower BMI of 27 to 29.9 BMI of 30 or more

    Can I register for the contest just to get the contest-related deals?

    Of course! We promote fitness, so if you would prefer not to actively participate in the contest, then you can still register for the deals.

    What happens when I sign up for the contest?

    You will get an e-mail right after you sign up that includes information on weigh-in dates and where you can weigh-in. You will also be assigned a unique Fit Virginia participant number. You will bring this number along with your weigh-in form to the participating weigh-in locations or your doctor. You will weigh-in at the beginning of the contest and at the end of the contest.

    When does the contest start? End?

    The contest will start with weigh-in between January 1-4th and end with a weigh-in between April 1st-4th.

    Is the signup fee something I will pay monthly?

    No, you will only pay 1 time to enter the contest.

    How will I monitor my progress? Are there multiple weigh-ins?

    You will only weigh-in at the beginning and at the end of the contest. During the contest, you can use the Fit Virginia “My Fit” page to track your progress or any method you want. Go the Library to get tips and suggestions.

    How long is the contest?

    3 months... exactly 90 days from your initial weigh-in to your last weigh-in.

    What if I miss the weigh-in dates?

    You will not be eligible for the contest if you do not complete the weigh-in process. Weigh-in must be exactly 90 days apart for each participant to be eligible.

    Where can I weigh-in?

    You can go to one of our “official weigh-in” locations or to your doctor. If you go to your doctor, you will need him/her to fill out the weigh-in form, as well as, call in your weight to the Fit Virginia weigh-in hotline at 804-379-4246.

    Can I weigh-in at my doctor?

    Yes. You will need your doctor to fill out the official weigh-in form for Fit Virginia.

    How do I get those great deals?

    When you sign up, you will be get an email with a unique Fit Virginia number. Use this number to take advantage of the deals posted in the “Resources” section.

    I don’t have any weight to lose but I would love to try out a new gym or personal trainer. Can I sign up?

    YES! Fit Virginia is a portal for fitness and a healthy lifestyle. Even if you don’t want to compete, you can still see value from signing up.
